Group Therapy
Women and Sexuality Group
Sex can be hard to talk about, especially when it comes to our own personal concerns. What is promoted in media and what we hear from friends or others, might leave us with thoughts about our own sexuality as being inadequate, overwhelming, not normal, or untapped. Thus, we often find ourselves isolated in our confusion and beliefs about sex and about how we view ourselves as sexual beings. In this group you will examine your own sense of sexuality and experience the support of others who share common feelings and concerns. Each hour will provide sexual education, exploration, and sharing by the group members. This will be a closed group bound by confidentiality. It will be small, consisting of 6-8 women to allow for comfort and security. The price is $55 per session for 10 weeks.
We will explore:
- Sexual myths
- Pain Inhibitions
- Libido
- Orgasm
- Getting to know your body
- Eroticism and Sensuality
- Sexual communication

Adolescent DBT Skills Group
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is an empirically validated type of treatment that offers techniques for managing intense thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Adolescents participating in this group will gain a solid understanding of DBT skills and how to effectively integrate them into their daily lives. More specifically, group members will learn skills to identify, tolerate, and manage stress and periods of crisis; regulate emotions; reduce impulsive and self-harming behaviors; and have more stable and satisfying relationships.
