Trisha Rubin, L.C.S.W.

Trisha Rubin has been serving the Metropolitan Washington D.C. Area since 1990. Although she has worked largely treating eating disorders, in more recent years she has built a general practice treating issues of anxiety, depression, group therapy, and relationship/couples issues. She also provides supervision to other clinicians, especially around eating disorder treatment.

Her career as a psychotherapist started at Georgetown University Medical Center’s Diet Management and Eating Disorder’s Program in 1989. There she held a post graduate fellowship and later became a tenured faculty member. In 1996 Trisha left Georgetown University to begin The Washington Center for Eating Disorder’s and Obesity in Fairfax (which ultimately became the Growth and Recovery Center in year 2000).

Trisha Rubin has held offices in local as well as national organizations. She served on the board of W.S.S.E.D.O. (Washington Society for the Study of Eating Disorder’s and Obesity) for several years and more recently on the board of B.E.D.A. (Binge Eating Disorder’s Association) She is the 2009–2011 President of B.E.D.A.

Trisha has offices in both Fairfax, Virginia and Potomac, Maryland.
